What is Operet?

Operet (Open Source Region Tampere) is an ESR-funded competence development program. The program runs from April 1, 2006, to December 31, 2007.

In the program, companies are trained to utilize open source and open development models. Training and consulting are targeted at developing both technological and business skills.

The project includes company-specific and general training, networking, theme-based seminars, and consulting. Also, focused studies and surveys will be conducted. An important part of the project is public communication.

The target group for the project is SMEs, R&D, and business personnel in the Tampere region.
