In 2007, COSS is organizing a national open source business program for Finnish industry. The Verso Open Source Business Programme is targeted at software providers and companies that are planning or deploying use of open source software in their products and services. The user organisations are expected to represent various key industries such as mechanical engineering, telecoms, and media.

The Verso Open Source Business Programme is funded by Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, as part of the Verso technology program. The program will be run by COSS in partnership with Finpro, Technology Centre Hermia, Hermia Business Development, and Roschier Attorneys. The consortium was chosen as a result of public competitive bidding.
